The It Color for Spring 2017: Dusty Pink

As I’ve started piecing together a postpartum wardrobe, I keep seeing dusty peachy pink everywhere. Pink has been on the margins for a few years now — the rose gold obsession for one. But this year, it is a veritable pink explosion out there.

It makes sense. Pink goes with everything, making it the perfect color for shoes and accessories. Adding the peach and slight grey undertones takes it out of baby and girly territory into something fresh and sophisticated.

I’ve rounded up my favorites below. I especially love how pink softens up classic tomboy looks. There isn’t a rosy ruffle to be seen.

Ray-Ban Highstreet Round Sunglasses

Right? Rosy beigey perfection. Now, if one of you could remind me I already own too many Ray Ban sunglasses.

Vans Classic Slip Ons in Rose/Spanish Vanilla

I’m currently trying to justify these as perfect for postpartum/baby wearing summer walking shoes. (It’s about the safety and stability of the baby, you guys. Anything for the baby.)

Lou & Grey’s Zen Bounce Sweatshirt

This has already made the postpartum pajama cut, mostly because it’s on sale AND an additional 50% off.

BAGGU Drawstring Backpack in Shell

I love BAGGU bags for their simplicity and indestructibility (and machine washable!). This would make for a perfect diaper bag alternative…if I had any chance of Dave ever wearing it.

Madewell Arielle D’Orsay Flat in Dusty Clay

I could wear these all summer in SF. With dresses. With jeans. With everything.
